at Orchard Ridge.

The OCC Womencenter’s Annual Women’s Art Exhibit, “From Our Perspectives,” opens with a reception Thursday September 27, in the Smith Theatre Gallery at Orchard Ridge. Viewing hours are Mondays through Fridays from 10 am to 4 pm through October 26. Admission is free.

This year over 300 works were submitted by women artists from across the nation. The works of 34 artists in a variety of media were chosen for display – an outstanding show well worth viewing.

This year’s juror is Marji Weir, an assistant professor of painting and drawing at Wayne State University. Ms. Weir has numerous shows to her credit, including solo exhibitions in some of New York City’s top galleries, as well as art installations in Georgia and Kentucky.

“From Our Perspectives” is presented by the Womencenter, an OCC facility that provides educational and supportive resources for students and area women.  Click here to view the gallery
