Ms. Nadja Springer-Ali has been unanimously selected as OCC’s Diversity Champion for 2015 by College Committee on Diversity and Inclusion. Nadja currently serves as a faculty librarian at Oakland Community College – Orchard Ridge.
For several years has served as the Chair of the Orchard Ridge Campus Committee for Diversity and Inclusion. Additionally, she has served on the College Committee for Diversity and Inclusion. Nadja has been a major force in bringing the African-American Read In to the OCC Libraries and organizes the event each year for the Orchard Ridge campus.
She works tirelessly to bring a wide-variety of relevant topics forward to create events for the campus. Lastly, she has been a major contributor to the organization and planning of the Martin Luther King Day Convocation.
With this honor, Nadja will be recognized on the Diversity Champion Honor Roll as sponsored by the Race Relations & Diversity Task Force of the Birmingham Community House in early May.
