You are Invited to OCC’s Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Attend the HURCO CNC Training Center Ribbon Cutting and Grand Re-opening of the Advanced Technology Center at Oakland Community College and view our investment in skilled trades such as robotics, CNC and mechatronics made possible by the CCSTEP grant and HURCO.

The new Advanced Technology Center helps students:

  • Prepare for entry-level employment in CNC machining after just 1 semester
  • Build cool parts/projects on state-of-the-art metal cutting machinery
  • Earn 4 national industry certifications in just 1 semester
  • Develop the skills needed to earn high wages and advancement in a CNC machining career

The HURCO donation includes 8 machines: 5 CNC machining centers, including a 5 axis trunnion style mill, and 3 turning centers, including a live tooling lathe. These machines are state of the art and are top in the industry in conversational programming.

The tours will include live demonstrations on the machinery, information booths for Siemens NXCam, Iscar, and Production Tool Supply. A representative from Student Services will be in attendance to help with class registration and applications.
